The Wine and Spirit Show took place last weekend at the historic One Whitehall Place, in Westminster.
The event showcases the very best of wines & spirits, and Zonin UK was there with a selection of Proseccos and some of our Sicilian Estate wines.
Our medal-winning Zonin Rosato sparkling wine was also available in the Global Masters Zone, which focused on wines judged by Masters of Wine in the prestigious Global Masters competitions.
It was a great opportunity to talk to the members of the Trade, as well as the consumers, about our wide range of DOC Proseccos including the black, grey and white cuvees and the style difference that is influenced with the additions of Pinot Nero, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Bianco respectfully.
The lesser known Sicilian grapes like Insolia and Grillo, impressed the visitors with their refreshing style and versatility, and further reaffirmed that there are still some exciting indigenous grapes that are waiting to be discovered.
Rocca di Montemassi is not only a winery but also a beautiful farm in a corner of Tuscany.
It is an estate that truly aims to blend with the Maremma terroir by continuously embracing the regional culture. At Rocca di Montemassi we continue to breed Marremma cows, produce wheat, spelt and olive oil – but the most exciting addition is the new Gin production!
Inspired by the aura of power evoked by the bull, this gin embodies the Maremma region in the strength of its aromas and in the audaciousness of its flavours. Imperiale is in fact the name of our beloved estate bull.
The 6 botanicals (Juniper, elderberry flower, turmeric, chamomile, rosemary, bergamot) used in gin Imperiale are from local wild plants and it is these that give the gin the most authentic aroma and flavours of the terroir.
An excellent product to be added to the great range produced by this estate!
Our signature product is most certainly Prosecco and as such, we couldn’t possibly miss the opportunity to exhibit our products at this event!
Yesterday we showcased 5 of our best Proseccos, as well as some exciting Sparkling Wines from our key estates: Falanghina from Masseria Altemura in Apulia, Nero d’Avola from Principi di Butera in Sicily and a Pinot Noir, Champenoise Method, from Oltrepó Pavese.
Glass of Bubbly’s events are always great to attend, being the perfect occasion to be surrounded by real Fizz lovers interested in learning and discovering more about the amazing world of wine – we look forward to be back next year!
